Rethink city playgrounds as spaces for socialization and education, involving young professionals and citizens.

Program: Erasmus + Youth Together

Year : 2021

Duration : 24 months

Budget : 150 000 €

Leader : OIRD

Partners :

The G1000 i YES brings together 1000 young Europeans known as “invisible” (unemployed, without education or internship, poorly identified by social, institutional and educational partners) specially selected for a great “encounter” with Europe. Five partners will create a space for dialogue between these young people and representatives of the European institutions. These organizations have been working daily for years with these young people in neighborhoods marked by poverty, youth unemployment, school dropout and inter-religious conflicts in Belgium (Molenbeek and the Canal zone), in France (Saint-Denis and priority neighborhoods of New Aquitaine), in Italy (Val Polcevera and Teglia neighborhoods in Genoa) and in Romania (Roma areas).
This project aims to mobilize a network of European organizations working towards the so-called “invisible” groups in order to :

-Develop tools to promote Europe and European policies adapted to these marginalized or excluded audiences using adapted media (discord, youtube, twitch). Our methodological approach is based on the involvement of ambassadors privileged by young people and peer education among young people.
-Create spaces for expression and dialogue between the invisible, youth workers and EU representatives and to generate a participatory and inclusive dynamic of these generally excluded actors in the debate on EU issues and policies in relation to the societal issues that these young people face.
